Untouched nature mesmerizes me how it lives in harmony within itself; plants, animals and microorganisms, all intertwined in a sometimes chaotic yet cyclical unity. This perspective shaped my childhood and evolved into a quest for knowledge of ethnobotany (study of the relationships between peoples and plants). I'm humbled that this exploration allowed me to build a line of natural health products.
At MRM, we are inspired by nature and utilize science as a tool to learn, incorporate, support and educate what the natural world has to offer.
Respectfully, these Superfoods are the foods our ancestors thrived on, not today's foods we survive on.
Many Thanks, Mark Olson Founder of MRM

What is Baobab?
The baobab fruit naturally dried on the tree, where the delicious fruit pulp is protected within its hard inedible shell. The dry fruit pulp is carefully separated from the shell and made into a nutrient dense powder. There is no heat treatment or extraction process, leaving a pure nutritious whole fruit powder with a sweet, tangy citrus-like flavor. This fruit powder offers valuable fiber and antioxidants beneficial to a healthy lifestyle. It provides Vitamin C and the macrominerals magnesium, potassium and calcium as a superfood would.
Baobab is a truly ancient and treasured food in Africa which has remained unaltered by human intervention and cultivation. This product is both ethically and sustainably sourced as it is harvested using global best-practiced forestry techniques ensuring a long term abundant supply and stable income for the local families and communities in southern Africa.
This sweet, tangy fruit powder is ideal for adding to yogurt, smoothies, drink mixes, and baked goods for a uniquely delicious treat. With its fiber content including pectin, it can be made to thicken jams, jellies, hot cereals, and soups.
Benefits
Macrominerals, such calcium, magnesium and potassium, are important electrolytes which our bodies need large amounts of. These minerals offer support to maintain our structural systems such as muscle and bone health.
Vitaminn C is an important nutrient to be included in a healthy diet. It can assist in proper immune function and provide antioxidant protection.
Antioxidants address the free radicals in the body which can be damaging as they can disrupt the structure and stability of many crucial factors.
Obtaining sufficient fiber in one’s diet is important as it supports digestive functions. Fiber also offers a useful satiety effect when maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Source
Found on the continent of Africa, the baobab tree grows in tropical and subtropical climates and can reach astounding ages of over 1,000 years. The baobab tree is rich in legend and myth in Africa, and is called the ‘Tree of Life’ as many habitants, animal and human, of the arid regions of Africa rely on the baobab for its abundant resources. The large trunk of the Baobab tree can become hollow, while continuing to produce fruit, many times converted into post offices, bush pubs and jails, amongst other resourceful uses.
